Dr. Henley is a native of Michigan. He received his medical degree from Michigan State University in May 1987. Dr Henley served in the United States Air Force for 31 years with his duties ranging from staff physician, flight surgeon and commander and his last assignment being Chief of Cadet/Flight Medicine Clinic at the United States Air Force Academy. He was also a Team Physician for the Air Force Academy. Dr. Henley was accepted into the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences and Georgetown University School of Medicine where he completed his Fellowship in Sports Medicine from 1999-2000. He has served as teaching staff on two family medicine residencies and three medical schools. Dr Henley is certified by the American Board of Family Practice in Family Medicine and Sports Medicine. He is currently a team physician for Colorado College, US Ski Team and District 20 high schools. Dr Henley is available to see Family Practice and Sports Medicine patients of all ages and can also perform minor surgeries including vasectomies. Dr Henley is married to Tracy Henley and they have three children.
Dr. Kent was born at Eglin AFB, Florida. He and his family moved to USAFA in 1969 where he graduated from Air Academy High School as valedictorian. Dr. Kent received his B.A. from the University of Colorado-Boulder. It is there where he did extensive biochemical research with eventual Nobel Laureate, Dr. Tom Cech. Dr. Kent received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine and then completed his family practice residency at the University of Texas-Houston. Dr. Kent returned home to practice medicine in Colorado Springs in 1996. He and his wife, Cathy, enjoy the outdoors, fishing and tennis along with their 6 children. Dr. Kent loves the diversity of family medicine, and caring for his patients through all the stages of life. He is Board Certified in Family Practice, and is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice.
Dr. Zbylski was born at Ft. Lewis Army Hospital in Tacoma, Washington to a loving military medical family and lived in several different places during his childhood years. He graduated from Mullen High School in Denver, received his B.A. from Creighton University, and his medical degree from The University of Colorado School of Health Sciences. He completed his family practice residency at Womack Army Medical Center and served in the United States Army Medical Corps for 11 years, where his love of travel, history, and new cultures were further developed. Dr. Zbylski lived in several states and overseas twice before returning to Colorado. He and his wife Renee happily reside in Monument where they have raised 3 daughters. He enjoys sports activities and the great Colorado outdoors. He is very enthusiastic about his career choice for he is given the opportunity to care for patients from all walks of life. Dr. Zbylski is Board Certified in Family Practice and is a member of the Colorado Medical Society and the American Academy of Family Practitioners. Dr. Zbylski was also a recent recipient of the 2013 “Top Docs” award in family practice by Colorado Springs Style Magazine.
Dr. Bodman was born in Alaska and his family moved to Colorado Springs when he was one. He graduated from Air Academy High School, and the University of Colorado at Boulder with a B.S. in Molecular Biology. Dr. Bodman spent three years working at the Webb-Waring Lung Institute in Denver doing research before enrolling in medical school at the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, graduating in 1998. He completed his residency through the Colorado Springs Osteopathic Society and Family Medicine Center. Before joining Aspen Creek Medical Associates, Dr. Bodman worked in a small family practice office in Colorado Springs. He has always been drawn to primary care and especially values the opportunity of building relationships with entire families. Dr. Bodman, his 2 children, and his wife Bev enjoy all aspects of the active outdoor lifestyle Colorado has to offer.
PA VanderWel grew up on a farm in South Dakota and developed a love for science and medicine at a young age. She received a bachelor’s degree in biology from Dordt College and graduated with honors from University of Nebraska College of Medicine PA Master’s program with a specialty in family medicine. She has experience in rural family medicine, emergency room medicine and asthma and allergy. Her particular interests are urgent care, women’s health and primary care for all ages. She has lived in Colorado Springs with her husband Cor and three children the last 20 years. She is Board Certified by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants and is a member of the American Association of Physician Assistants and is President-elect of the Colorado Association of Physician Assistants.
Karen was born and raised in Cape Neddick, Maine. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in 1993 from the University of Southern Maine. She worked in cardiac care at Maine Medical Center for four years, before moving to Colorado with her husband. She received her Master of Science in Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner degrees from The University of Colorado in Colorado Springs, graduating Summa Cum Laude in 1999. She has been working in the family practice setting, caring for patients of all ages since 1999. She is Board Certified by the American Nurse Credentialing Center and is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Karen enjoys hiking, biking, camping and skiing with her husband and two sons.
Staci was raised in Mammoth Lakes, CA. In 2011 she completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, graduating first in her class. Staci spent four years working on the cardiology unit at Memorial Hospital before transitioning to the Emergency Department. She completed her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs and certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2016. Staci is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She enjoys skiing and traveling with her husband and three children, and spends much of her free time volunteering with the Colorado Parent Teacher Association.
Dr. Kiley was born in New York but moved to Colorado as a child. Moving back to Colorado in 2006 from the east to reside in Monument with her husband and two children. Dr. Kiley received her medical degree from Brown University and completed her pediatric residency program at the University of Massachusetts. After several years practicing pediatric hospital medicine, Dr. Kiley has returned to pediatric outpatient medicine and enjoys working in the clinic. She is Board Certified in Pediatric Medicine and is a member of the Colorado Medical Society and the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Kiley resides in Monument with her husband and two daughters.
Dr. Linsky was born in Kansas but spent the majority of her childhood in Arkansas. She completed her medical degree at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and her pediatric residency at Arkansas Children’s Hospital. She also completed a Chief Residency at Arkansas Children’s Hospital where she had a particular interest in early childhood reading and was the site coordinator for the Reach Out and Read Program. Dr. Linsky previously practiced in New England where she was the director of a community hospitalist program. She resides in Colorado Springs with her husband and two daughters. She is Board Certified in Pediatric Medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
PA-C Shelby Johnson is happy to be a Colorado Springs native, however spent her childhood years living not only in Colorado, but also Germany and Oregon. She received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Portland and then decided to return to Colorado to obtain her Masters of Physician Assistant from the University of Colorado. In addition to general adult medicine, her PA training had a strong emphasis in pediatric and adolescent medicine. Shelby found herself drawn to primary care with particular interests in pediatrics and women’s health. She is Board Certified by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants. She and her husband are parents to two very loving, active boys. The entire family loves to be outdoors and takes advantage of all of the outdoor activities Colorado has to offer including hiking, biking, and skiing. Shelby also has a passion for running marathons.
